Between the 20th and 27th of August, 2014, filming was undertaken on site, of the completion of the sculpture Semi-Floating Structure. The forthcoming film will be screened at various locations.
Cast in a soft rubber, this truly ‘flexible’ shelving system stretches and bends to accommodate its contents. Hanging gently under their own weight, Rubber Shelves are brought to life by books and interaction. Four lacquer painted spacers allow customisable arrangements while accentuating the playful character of the material. White plywood backboards conceal a simple steel mounting system that ensures the shelves are always fitted at the correct tension.
